Stem Cell Therapy for Knees

Are you looking for a solution to your knee pain? Are you tired of painkillers, surgery and other treatments only working temporarily or not al all? Are you suffering from CHRONIC knee pain and you want your quality of life back? The truth is that millions of people are in your position. Countless people in the Unites States have knee pain and have heard about regenerative treatments, such as stem cell therapy for knees. However, many people don’t know where to start and they’re not sure if stem cell therapy will help them. One trait that everyone with knee pain has in common is that they are all trying to avoid surgery! Can stem cell therapy help you? Let’s look at some causes.

Do You Need Stem Cell Therapy for Knees?

When we’re young we feel invincible. We don’t think that our knee injury during a football game will come back to haunt us later in life. We don’t think being overweight from ages 20 – 40 will lead to arthritis and painful joint conditions. However injury, and additional stress on your knees, from being overweight, is what causes your knee cartilage to wear way. This knee cartilage is what prevents your bones from rubbing against each other. Once the knee cartilage wears away and bones begin to rub you begin to develop arthritis.

Arthritis is thought to be an irreversible condition. Until recently orthopedics believed that once you wore away your knee cartilage you would need joint replacement surgery. However, this isn’t true anymore. If you have mild arthritis or you are starting to show signs of arthritis you are a great candidate and may benefit from stem cell therapy for knees.

How does Stem Cell Therapy for Knees Work?

An orthopedic surgeon may tell you that arthritis is irreversible. When you have a total knee replacement the surgeon replaces the entire knee joint with an artificial one. When you take advantage of stem cell therapy you rebuild the worn parts of your knee without surgery. Instead of replacing the knee you’re rebuilding the knee. The cartilage you damaged earlier in life, which is now causing pain, may be rebuilt with stem cell therapy. Also the cartilage you wore away because you were overweight may be able to regrow with the help of stem cells. But how does the actual process take place?

Stem cells are found in dozens of areas within your body such as your bones, teeth and blood. Some areas of the body produce stem cells that are extremely effective for regenerative orthopedic treatments, such as growing cartilage in your knees. One area of the body that produces these stem cells is the amniotic sac or the blood in the umbilical cord. Stem cells from these areas are called amniotic stem cells.

Amniotic stem cells are donated to medical facilities after a mother has a scheduled C- Section. Instead of disposing of the amniotic fluid and the umbilical cord blood, the fluids are sent to an FDA approved lab for processing and to extract the most effective cells for stem cell therapy for knees. Incase you are wondering, the process of extracting stem cells does not affect the mother or the baby. Stem cell therapy does NOT use embryonic stem cells and no one is harmed to obtain the cells.

Stem Cell Professionals Uses Stem Cell Therapy for Knees

If you call us because you’re in pain and because you’re looking for an alternative to surgery we’ll have you come in for a consultation. This is NOT a sales pitch. We don’t accept every patient and we need to determine if you’ll benefit from stem cell therapy for knees. X-rays will determine if you are a qualified candidate for stem cell therapy. Some people have such a bad knee condition that surgery is inevitable. However, in most mild cases of arthritis the patient will have a great chance of benefiting from stem cell therapy.

If you aren’t a good candidate for stem cells we’ll point you in the right direction. If you ARE a qualified candidate we’ll schedule your stem cell therapy injection. The injection process takes less than one hour. You’ll walk in and out of the office where the treatment takes place and there is essentially no recovery time.

Once the stem cells are injected into your knee(s) the cells may begin to regrow the cartilage in your knee. If you successfully regrow the cartilage in your knee you’ll feel pain relief like you did before you developed arthritis.

I am a 66 years young female with a meniscus tear. I am in good health and have always been very active. I am not having pain unless I pivot to quickly. I am not in pain when I walk but I am wearing an ACE knee brace until I feel sure of my knee again. I have had this problem since I was 17. I refuse to have any surgeries and would like to weight my options. I don’t know if stem cell therapy will help me but I would like to see if this may be an option for me.

Thank you for your inquiry. Stem Cell injections are the newest form of regenerative medicine, and it’s designed for those suffering from joint degeneration looking for an alternative. With risks associated with surgery, lengthy down time, and painful rehabilitation associated with joint replacement surgery, stem cell therapy is becoming more of an option. Higher deductibles and increased copays are making surgery less affordable. Stem cell therapy is not a magic cure, but it can provide relief from the degenerative process.
The biggest benefit from stem cell therapy is No down time. Once the injection is given, it is recommended to take it easy the rest of that day (no exercise), but the following day is pretty much normal. The results have varied from patient to patient, but it mostly depends on severity of the condition being treated, age of the patient, and activity level.
You must qualify for the stem cell procedure, and it will only be performed after an examination of the condition being considered for treatment. The cost of the examination is $97.00 (x-rays will be taken if you do not have recent studies) and that amount will be credited toward the stem cell therapy should you decide to proceed with treatment.
I encourage you to do research on stem cell therapy, and to schedule a consultation/exam with our medical staff. Good luck and we look forward to speaking to you.
