Healing A Racing Legend

Anthony Joseph also known as A.J Foyt, Jr is one of the best auto racing drivers of our times. He’s a professional in numerous genres of racing which include:

  • Unites States Automobile Club Champ Cars
  • Midget Cars
  • Stock cars in NASCAR and USAC

A.J. Also managed to win several major sports car events such as the USAC with the career wins record with 159 victories. Not to mention he is the only driver to win the Indianapolis 500, (which he has won 4 times), the Daytona 500, the 24 hours of Daytona.

According to Wikipedia:

“Foyt won the International Race of Champions all-star racing series in 1976 and 1977. In the NASCAR stock car circuit, he won the 1964 Firecracker 400 and the 1972 Daytona 500. Foyt survived three major crashes that caused serious injuries, and narrowly escaped a fourth. Foyt’s success has led to induction in numerous motorsports halls of fame.”

Foyt’s Painful Accidents

This guy isn’t just another man who likes to drive fast. He’s a racing legend. However, Foyt’s experienced his fair share of accidents along the way. As you can imaging when you are driving that fast and get in an accident it’s big-time damage and big-time injury.

According to USA Today: “Foyt suffered a broken back during a NASCAR race in 1964 and broken feet and legs during a 1991 Indy Car crash. In 2005, he was stung more than 200 times by bees while trapped under his bulldozer at his Texas ranch. He’s had knee and hip replacements, and in 2014 underwent triple-bypass heart surgery.”

These injuries have left him with permanent painful conditions. He’s desperately looking for a treatment for his condition and he thinks that stem cells may be the answer.

Questionable Treatments

At our clinic, we only use treatments approved by the FDA and we only treat conditions that we know will see positive results. Foyt doesn’t mention exactly what condition he’s experiencing, but he does mention that he’s hoping that he can treat the “prior condition’s lingering effects”. Perhaps he’s looking for a way for stem cells to improve his heart condition or treat a lingering condition caused from too many bee stings. We aren’t entirely sure. However, it seems like Foyt is going into some unknown territory.

Foyt mentions that he is going out of the country to be treated with stem cells. Apparently, the FDA doesn’t approve whatever type of stem cell treatment he’s using since he has to travel to Cancun.

In fact, he mentions that “They have to cut away some of the tissue from my stomach and it takes 8-10 weeks for it to grow back to produce the stem cells,” Foyt told Indy Car. “I’ll probably have it done soon so that we can begin the treatment within the next two to three months.”

These types of stem cell treatments are risky, unapproved and not available in the US. While we wish him the best, we would strongly encourage you NOT to follow his lead.

We only use FDA approved stem cells and only treat conditions that have the greatest chances of being successful such as treating knee pain, hip pain, and shoulder pain.
